# Brag Plan: PharmaTerminal

## What is this app?

A live intelligence terminal for pharma R&D — FDA authorisations, clinical trials, PDUFA
dates, prediction markets and biotech market data in one draggable canvas dashboard.
The impressive part is not that it looks like Bloomberg; it is that every figure on
screen traces back to a named public source, and the app says so out loud.

## The angle

Bloomberg built a terminal for finance. Nobody built one for pharma. So this did — and
then made honesty the feature: real openFDA records, real quotes, real Polymarket
contracts, with the source printed on the panel and an empty state that refuses to
pad itself with unrelated markets.

The video sells the *density and legitimacy*: a terminal that looks institutional
because the data actually is.

## Hook (first 2-3 seconds)

Black. Scanlines fade up. A single mono line types on: **"BLOOMBERG BUILT A TERMINAL
FOR FINANCE."** Then it slams hostile and bigger, in terminal orange: **"NOBODY BUILT
ONE FOR PHARMA."** The word PHARMA is the turn — that is the whole hook.

## Key moments (the middle)

- **The canvas assembles itself.** Nine widget panels land one by one into a grid,
each with a click, ending on the counter reading **9/9 WIDGETS ACTIVE**.
- **The tape runs.** A ticker crawling real symbols and real prices — JNJ 271.22,
LLY 1183.46 — with green/red deltas, because the sign is data too.
- **Real approvals, real dates.** Cards for TIRZEPATIDE (MOUNJARO) 2025-05-28 ·
route: subcutaneous · ELI LILLY, and LAMOTRIGINE (SUBVENITE) 2026-07-17 ·
route: oral. Drug names and dates straight off the live terminal.
- **The refusal.** The empty state that is the product's character: *"No pharma-related
markets currently open on Polymarket. Unrelated markets are not substituted in."*
Most products pad an empty panel. This one tells you why it won't.

## Outro / punchline

The source lines type in under the data — `Source: openFDA Drugs@FDA submission status
dates`, `Live from Polymarket, refreshed every 30 min` — then the payoff line lands:
**EVERY FIGURE TRACEABLE.** Logo, URL, fade.

## User flow worth showing

This is a single-screen product, so the flow is *the terminal coming alive* rather
than a multi-page journey:

1. **Entry** — black screen, a scanline field, one line of mono type.
2. **Key action** — the canvas builds: nine panels drop into place, the ticker starts,
the LIVE dot begins blinking, the clock ticks.
3. **Result** — the operator reads real FDA authorisations and real quotes off the grid
and can drag and resize any panel to build their own layout.

The centerpiece scenes (2 and 3) are that flow. No marketing slides.

## Tone

- **Preset:** `polished`
- **Creative direction:** market-open terminal reveal — institutional density, zero
marketing gloss, the honesty is the flex
- **Interpretation:** fewer, longer holds. Motion is precise and mechanical, not bouncy.
Type arrives like it is being printed. Restraint over spectacle — the data is the
spectacle. No whooshes, no lens flares, no fake growth charts.

## Format: landscape — 1920x1080

## Share copy (draft)

Bloomberg built a terminal for finance — so we built one for pharma. Live FDA
authorisations, trial data and biotech quotes, with every figure traceable to its
source. pharmaterminal.aeah.ai

## Audio direction

- **Role:** calm institutional bed with mechanical, motion-matched accents
- **Music:** `happy-beats-business-moves-vol-9-by-ende-dot-app.mp3` (114.84 BPM) —
steady, competent, unemotional; it reads as "this is a serious tool"
- **Music treatment:** enter low under the hook, come up at the canvas build, hold
through the data, fade out under the outro so the last impact lands dry. Start
  ~0.3s in, no hard stop.
- **Music cue guidance:** preset read from
  `assets/music/cues/happy-beats-business-moves-vol-9-by-ende-dot-app.music-cues.json`
(114.84 BPM, beat grid ~0.53s). Target strong cues: **3.70s** (the PHARMA turn),
**4.23s** (canvas build begins), **6.34s** (build midpoint), **10.54s** (data
reveal), **12.65s** (approval cards), **23.17s** (unused — video ends at 19.0).
Beat windows for the sequential builds: 4.23–8.44 and 8.44–12.65.
- **Audio-reactive treatment:** none. No waveform bars, no glow pulsing on bass.
  Institutional tools do not breathe.
- **SFX posture:** sparse and mechanical, motion-matched — panel drops, tick per table
row, two card flips, one dry impact on the logo. Roughly 15-18 cues across 19s.
- **Audio-coupled moments:** the hook line types with quiet key ticks; nine panel
arrivals each get a light switch/drop; movers rows tick in; the final payoff line
lands on a single low impact.
- **Restraint rule:** audio must never imply more than is on screen. No riser, no
whoosh on a cut, nothing that suggests a "reveal" the visuals have not earned.

## Storyboard

### Scene 1 — COLD OPEN — 4.23s
Black `#070b0f`. Scanline overlay fades in over ~0.6s. At 0.30s a single mono line
types on, left-aligned, `#c8cdd4`, ~46px: **"BLOOMBERG BUILT A TERMINAL FOR FINANCE."**
At 3.70s (strong cue) it hard-cuts to the turn — **"NOBODY BUILT ONE FOR PHARMA."** in
`#ff6600`, notably larger (~92px), the word PHARMA carrying the weight. No other chrome.
Sequential/interaction: yes — line 1 types character by character; line 2 slams on,
no type.
Audio intent: quiet, then a single low impact at 3.70 marks the turn.
Audio-coupled idea: key ticks under the typing; one dry hit on the cut.
Music: bed enters low from 0.30s.
Transition mood: hard cut → Scene 2

### Scene 2 — THE TERMINAL ASSEMBLES — 4.21s
The terminal chrome snaps up: top banner with `PHARMA|TERMINAL v3.0`, nav **MARKETS**
(active) / **R&D INTEL** / **PRICING**, a live clock reading `23:29:07 ET`, `Sun, Sep 27,
2026`, and a blinking **LIVE** dot in `#ff6600`. Below it the ticker tape begins
crawling real symbols. Then nine panel frames land into the grid, one at a time, on the
beat grid — 4.23, 4.75, 5.28, 5.80, 6.34, 6.86, 7.40, 7.92, 8.44 — each panel a
`#0d1117` card with a `#1c2530` hairline border and its own four-cell mono header
(PHARMA MARKET MOVERS, BREAKING PHARMA NEWS, R&D PREDICTION MARKETS, GLOBAL PHARMA
INDICES, PDUFA / ACTION DATES, RECENT AUTHORISATIONS, …). As the last lands, the
canvas header reads **CANVAS DASHBOARD · 9/9 WIDGETS ACTIVE**.
Sequential/interaction: yes — nine panel arrivals, one per beat, counter reaching 9/9.
Audio intent: nine light mechanical arrivals building a rhythm.
Audio-coupled idea: a light switch/drop per panel, pitch-consistent, last one slightly
firmer.
Music: bed lifts here.
Transition mood: soft crossfade → Scene 3

### Scene 3 — LIVE DATA — 6.06s
The MARKET MOVERS panel takes the frame. Real rows tick in **two at a time** on every
other beat (~1.06s each) so each row is genuinely readable, stopping at eight rows:
`JNJ $271.22 ▲0.20% 4.06M` · `LLY $1183.46 ▲0.13% 1.91M` · `MRK $148.78 ▲0.54% 8.26M` ·
`NVS $145.46 ▲1.32% 1.17M` · `PFE $28.67 ▲0.92% 27.18M` · `BMY $62.86 ▲2.21% 10.03M` ·
`GSK $49.24 ▼0.83% 3.29M` · `AZN $166.58 ▲1.23% 1.92M`. Deltas carry real direction:
`#00d4aa` with ▲ up, `#ff3b5c` with ▼ down. Then the row set holds and two RECENT
AUTHORISATIONS cards flip in at 12.65 and 13.70:
**TIRZEPATIDE (MOUNJARO)** · NDA · 2025-05-28 · `route: subcutaneous` · ELI LILLY AND CO,
and **LAMOTRIGINE (SUBVENITE)** · NDA · 2026-07-17 · `route: oral` · OWP PHARMS.
Figures are the live values read off the running terminal — not invented.
Sequential/interaction: yes — rows in pairs on alternate beats, then two card flips.
Audio intent: a ticking cadence, drier and quieter than the build.
Audio-coupled idea: one soft tick per row pair; a paper-ish flip per approval card.
Music: steady under.
Transition mood: hard cut → Scene 4

### Scene 4 — PROVENANCE + OUTRO — 4.50s
The frame darkens back toward plain `#070b0f`. Three mono source lines type in under the
data, one by one (~1.1s apart), in `#6b7280` at ~20px — small, unglamorous, deliberate:
`Source: openFDA Drugs@FDA submission status dates` · `Live from Polymarket, refreshed
every 30 min` · `Unrelated markets are not substituted in.` The third line is the
character moment; give it its own beat and a slightly brighter `#c8cdd4` so it reads as
a stance, not a footnote. Then at ~18.0s the payoff lands centre-frame in `#ff6600`,
~64px mono: **EVERY FIGURE TRACEABLE.** At 18.40s the logo resolves —
`PHARMA|TERMINAL v3.0` — with `pharmaterminal.aeah.ai` beneath it in `#6b7280`. Hold
to 19.00s. Music has faded; the logo hit is dry.
Sequential/interaction: yes — three source lines type one by one, then two reveals.
Audio intent: wind down. The last impact lands on silence.
Audio-coupled idea: quiet key ticks under each source line; one low impact on the payoff
line; nothing on the logo.
Music: fade out across the scene, gone by ~18.2s.
Transition mood: end — fade to black

**Music mood for this video:** steady, competent, institutional — no euphoria
**Audio summary:** a low bed that rises for the canvas build, ticks through the data,
and gets out of the way so the honesty line and the logo land dry.

## Provenance of figures used on screen

Every number above was read from the live terminal at `pharmaterminal.aeah.ai` on
2026-09-27 23:29 ET via the rendered DOM — quotes with their direction arrows and colours,
and approval rows with their drug names, application types, dates and routes. Nothing is
estimated, rounded for effect, or invented. If a figure could not be read it was left out
rather than filled in.
